sorry... there are no "release" buttons for this unit
the manufactures make them a cheap as possible
only way to retrieve the CD now is to destroy the radio

ALL car manufactures and even aftermarket radios do this
having this design costs an extra dollar in production and all the companies want that money and could care less if we cannot retrieve our CD

Most will either have a manual release on the bottom look for a slotted hole or a small hole in the front that if you push a unbent paperclip into it will release the rack and pinion

Replacing cup holder

I assume you mean the one that flips up in the center console?

If so, there are three likely issues.

1) did you slide out the retainer from the upper screw? the top screw had a cover that had to be pried off. you then took the screw out. Lastly you have to slide out the plastic retainer that the screw went into. It slides out towards the opening.

2) you have to have the cup holder partially open to remove it. the hinged part that folds up is stored in the cavity under the console when closed. you have to open the cup holder and keep pushing until the front of the cup holder lip comes up. Work the cup holder up and down until it comes out.

3) the cup holder is stuck in place due to years of spilled liquid. If you've done the above, then you can either spray soapy water on the creases around the opening and let it set, or you can apply strategic brute force.
Be aware through. if this is the center console cup holder just behind the gear shifter. There are two screws and nothing else to hold it in. Just be carefull....

Removing a stuck cd from a player

There are two causes that spring to mind - CD's can warp with heat if left in at high temperatures or the player itself may be worn out. Anyhow to remove I would try:

First: Keep the eject button pressed in as you turn on the player this is like a manual override

Second: If the face is detachable remove the face and see if there is a small hole that you can insert the end of a paper clip in some players have a manual over-ride. Or there may be an over-ride button.

Thirdly: With power off - Use friction - try (gently) inserting a disk (one you don't care if you damage) like an old CD-R over the top of the jammed disk say 1/3 to half way and pull see if the extra pressure can manually remove the disk. You could try other items that are thin and without sharp edges to avoid potential damage.

My last suggestion: Stereo surgery - remove the head unit and cover. Depending on the design you may be able to coax the disk encouraging it out gently with say a screwdriver through the housing brackets.

I have a suzuki 2007 grand vitara the cd is stuck in the cd player how do i remove it

You need to remove the radio/cd player from the dashboard and open the CD player to get the CD out.
You can remove the whole front panel. 6 screws at each side underneath the alu xxxxx must be removed. After this the whole panel can be mover forward and the connectors on the backside can be disconnected. Now you are ready for opening the radio/cd player. tahe of the top cover and remove the cd

A dvd is stuck in my Chrysler town and country multi disk dvd/ cd player. How do I remove it?

Look around the face plate for a very small hole...use a straightened paperclip or equivalent and press in a few inches...its a manuel door release and you should gain access to at least the loading tray.

DVDs stuck in factory-installed 6-disc DVD movie player

Disclaimer: I am not a professional. This is an account of what I did to replace my DVD changer. If I had been offered the $450 installed option, I would have taken it.

According to the boys at Car Toys and the dealer, once these DVD changers go, they have to be replaced. The dealer quoted me $705, but I found one on E-bay from a highly rated seller for $400. I was able to pull out the DVD changer by popping off the trim betwee the DVD player and the cup holder, and then removing two screws. Note that it may help to remove the cup holder.

Once those two screws at the bottom are removed, it just takes a firm tug on console shell below the DVD player for the whole face of the console to come off. Disconnecting the airbag indicator connector will allow the console face to be pulled far enough away to get at the DVD changer. All connectors have a tab you need to press while pulling.

Two more screws need to be removed to get the DVD changer out. With those screws removed, another firm tug and wiggle will release the DVD changer. You'll probably hear a metal popping sound, which is just the rear grounding tab (I think that's what it is) pulling free from the cage.

Once you can reach the two wiring harnesses behind the DVD changer, pull on the wire bundle to give yourself some slack to work with, while not stressing the cable assemblies too much. Disconect the two connectors at the back of the DVD changer. At that point the DVD changer can be removed, and you can search on E-bay for the part number. My unit had a complete wiring diagram for the two connectors on the sticker, but I couldn't find anyone with the right connectors to install an aftermarket system.

I haven't received the new part yet, so I'm a little nervous about the correct order of connector installation. I'll probably pull the battery terminals while installing the new unit, but here is where you are on your own. Good luck.

New center of dash board rattle on 06 Dodge Grand Caravan

sounds kinda silly, but any coins etc in the cup holders up front?? They rattle like crazy.

If its behind the cd / radio this item is easy to remove yourself. Start at the bottom from cup holder section, snap itout on the front and the sides are simple screws and plugs.

Did it myself to take coins out of the CD player that my 2yr old inserted??!! DOH

Good luck

DASHBOARD

Emissionwiz is correct, this is just a matter of getting everything lined up.
Regarding the stuck CD, try this: Remove the radio from the dash. UNPLUG all of the connectors behind the radio. Wait for 1 minute. Then plug them all back in. See if the radio "comes back to life". I encounter this situation quite often, 9 time out of 10 I can bring the radio back on, and then eject the CD. Also note that Camry CD players really HATE "burnt" or "copied" CDs. These types of Cds stick in the player all of the time.
