The Olds Intrigue along with several other models had issues with the sending units in the fuel tank.
the resistor board and the metal contacts wear and lose contact.
The sending unit will need to be replaced.
The fuel tank will need to be dropped in order to replace it.

You do not have to drop the tank on an intrigue-if you remove the rear seat (bottom bench) there is a inspection plate on the floor that you can remove, gaining access to the top of the tank and the pump.

SOURCE: Random Fuel Gauge readings

The sending unit inside the fuel tank is at fault doing this to your gauge

It has a reostat that measures the amount of fuel in the tank. The float has a arm that rides along the reostat giving out the measurement. The arm is you can say waving up and down from a bad float that has no ablility to stay steadily bouyant no longer

Why 1998 olds intrigue is running hot.

1) Is it really running hot, or is the temperature sending unit or gauge incorrect? You could use an alternate temperature sensor to test - infrared temperature gauge.
2) Just because the radiator was cleaned out doesn't mean it isnt blocked. Check to see that water will flow through the radiator.

Fuel gauge is stuck on the back side of top pin.

you can remove the cluster from the car pull the plastic cover off fill your car up so you will know where to put the full level at remover the pin simply by pulling on it it may seem like if wont come off but that is because it is supposed to be tight put it back in at empty and replace the cluster if the needle goes to full then it is right if not you put the pin in wrong retry till it reads full if the neddle just doesnt move then replace fuel pump

The temp gauge says the engine is hot but, in

I'm not certain if this engine has coolant bleeder valves, but if it does, make sure there aren't any pockets, particularly around the sending unit. Something is fooling the computer into thinking that things are really, really hot.

Replace the radiator, and flush the system out. Don't use Dexcool in the system as this is the source of many cooling problems on GM's.
