SOURCE: 1995 CAMRY IS STUCK IN PARK

check to see if you have brake lights when you push the brake pedal ... if not under dash you will see a switch by the middle of brake arm disconnect the wires ....use a paper clip or piece or wire to jump the wires ...now see if your brakes lights are on if they are the car should come out of park.. replace switch ... dont drive car like this as your brake lights will be on all the time untill you remove jumper.....

Stuck in park

I would look for a blown brake light fuse, or a bad brake light switch above the brake pedal.

2002 toyota camry doesnt lock in parking

Have someone operate the gear shift while you watch the mechanism on the transmission so that you know what parts you are looking for. Shift into the park position, then uncouple the linkage and move the lever on the transmission fully into the park position. Then adjust the length of the linkage while holding the driver's lever in the park position so that the linkage connector goes back together without pulling on anything.

My gear shift is stuck in Park

Normally to shift do you have to press the brake to get it out of park? and if so then it could be a bad switch on the brake pedal.

The gear shift get's stuck in park What do you think is causing this problem? My gear shift is stuck in park..It will not move to reverse or any thing.

Could be the shifter interlock switch - your car requires that the brake pedal is pressed before it can come out of park. If that switch is not working, the car won't ever know you're pressing the brake, and won't let the car out of park.
