Tightening the alternator and the power steering belts on a Mazda is not too hard, but if you need to tighten them, you probably need to replace them too.
I recommend you go to an auto parts store and buy a third party repair manual for the 200 Mazda Protege. ~$15.00.
It covers changing/tightening belts pretty well.

CAMSHAFT BEARING CAPS TORQUE TO 125 INCH POUNDS. CAMSHAFT SPROCKETS - 44 FT LBS. YOU NEED A REPAIR MANUAL LIKE A CHILTON WITH CAMSHAFT TORQUE SEQUENCE DIAGRAM. YOU HAVE 20 CAMSHAFT CAP BOLTS THAT HAVE TO BE TORQUE IN SEQUENCE.

Check all engine grounds,and connections,check to make sure there is good connection at the oil sending unit,also,turn the key on,for a 1.5 second,and then off for about the same time,do this about 10 times to prime the fuel lines,and injectors also.Check connectors at cam sensor,and crank sensor,and make sure there is nothing sticking to the cam sensor on the inside,bits of metal or anything.

Since you didn't say which engine you have, I've pulled torque specs for 3 different engines. Also, since I can't include a diagram showing the relative locations of the numbered head-bolt locations, it would be a good idea for you to purchase a vehicle specific repair guide that will show this info.
Take particular note about the TTY (Torque to Yield) bolts used on 2 of the 3 engines shown. It is said that new head bolts MUST BE USED when head is replaced or re-installed to obtain the proper torque.
B2500 4 Cylinder
