Power steering pump/resevoir leak

I recently changed out the power steering pump in my 2000 3.1L grand prix SE and it is leaking between the pump and resevoir. I installed a oring between the two but did not solve the leak. Anyone have an idea what I need to do to solve this leak?

Would suggest replacing the pump again. Should have a warranty. Depending on whether or not the pump came with the reservoir attached those o-rings between the pump and the reservoir may be the culprit.

Since you replaced a perfectly good water pump most likely do this, have the system pressure tested by a shop and confirm where exactly the leak is.

I have 1998 pontiac grand prix with a leaking power steering. what could be the problem?

Bad seal in pwr steering pump or rack could be leaking or one of the hoses. Have a reputable shop or mechanic look at it for you and don't put it off, if it fails when driving it could lock up and cause an accident.

Power steering fluid

You buy it at a car parts store. You put it into the reservoir on top of the power steering pump. If it keeps leaking out, causing a whining noise when you turn, then you have a leak which must be remedied. Hoses, the pump, and the steering mechanism can all leak with age and use.

locate where the steering vane pump is, it must be in front of your engine since its engine driven follow the pipes attached to it where the vane pump oil goes in, that hose is attached to your reservoir....

I have put power steering fluid in my car (grand prix) twice in one week and i am still having problems turning the wheel whats wrong with my car?

From what you have described, there is a major leak in the power steering system. The leak will need to be identified and fixed and the operation of the power steering pump checked.

Currently the pump is pumping fluid out of the system under pressure (which is why you have to keep adding fluid) and is not providing the assistance to the steering that it was designed to do.
The power steering pump itself may now also be faulty and require replacement.

Have it checked out asap.

Power steering leak making loud buzzing sound more loud when turning

The power steering leak is creating bubbles in your power steering pump which gets strained more when turning, which causes it to be louder when turning. If you know where your leak is, then fix that, then try to bleed your ps system by filling up with the cap off the resevoir and turning the steering wheel max left to max left with trans fluid. if the noise is still there then your ps pump needs to be replaced along with the ps vsv located on the side of the pump.
