Hi: Have you Checked for Any Leaks? And Also You Might See If your Belt is on The Power Steering Pulley. Also Have you Changed your Power Steering Filter? It Could Be Plugged up or Restriting the Fluid Flow which would Result in No Power Steering or Very Little Help. If ALL Checks I've Wrote Above Fails Your Power Steering Pump Has Probally Gone Bad. Hope this Helps You Out Let Me Know by Voting And Please Send Me A Testamony: From The WYOCWBOY

NO! Dot 4 is brake fluid. using this in anything but the brake system is catastrophic. Use only ATF+4 transmission fluid in the power steering system as directed by chrysler.

What kind of power steering fluid goes into chrysler grand voyager

Use ATF Plus (Type 7176) for your particular transmission, NOT Dexron, Mercon, or generic automatic transmission fluid, Chrysler transmissions do not like any other kind and tend to fail quite quickly with the wrong fluid).

Check your power steering fluid. If low it whines and is related to engine speed.

Good luck, TD

No power steering on my chrysler voyager

is this the 3.3 liter or the 3.8?

I know that there is 1 serpentine belt that runs all (incl. the PS pump) on the 3.8 liter. So if that belt
was missing, you would also be over heating, have no alternator charging, no ac (if equipped) as well as have no PS. If you see any belt at all (on the passenger side), then you are ok. The PS fluid resevoir is near the top and easily found. It has writing on the cap which also has a built in dipstick. Check the fluid level in the resevoir and fill it if nec. Are you hearing noises from the PS system with the fluids full? If so, you might need a new pump. Check for leaks too if the fluid was low, you might have a leaking hose or PS rack (hope not on the rack though $$)
