1.Can a flashing hold light/faulty mass air flow sensor burn the clutches in a transmission? 2.if vehicle reves out after changing into second gear and transmission is rebuilt and problem still persist...

The ecm would not cause this, it sounds like someone did a poor rebuild, if the engining is reving and the car doesnt what to go then the clutches may be bad, a mass are flow would not cause a trany to go bad, the flashing hold light is a problem but should not be happening after the trany was just rebuilt, something is not right here, the trany was just rebuilt and now the hold light flashes and the motor rev going into 2nd gear, that trany has problems a bad ecm wouuldnt cause this slipping reving problem you are having , i would have a trany shop check to see if that trany was really rebuit.

I need instructions on replacing the clutch in a '94 Chevy Blazer 4x4, 350 engine. Specifically the pilot bearing, throwout bearing.

The pilot bearing is pressed into the flywheel and you need a pilot bearing/bushing puller. Some A/P stores will rent it to you for free (deposit). the throwout bearing is held onto the clutch fork normally by clips. Sometimes you have to take the "fork" out to get the bearing off.

Make sure to note how "deep' the pilot bearing/bushing is so that when you install the new one it is set at the right depth.

i know its hard to do,but be patient and stand back and take a breather.slow down is what im saying ,if you have the right tool then believe me it will line up but as i said slow down and remember the final result,i have an old friend and he is 78 years old,and one of the best engineers i have ever had the pleasure of knowing, his way of lining up was a shot of scotch whisky to stedy the hand as he said.adrian,,,,

A727 trany wont engage most of the time

sounds like either the filter is plugged up or the front pump is not pumping fluid.
If the front pump is bad it will need to be replaced and the clutches and bands will need to be replaced.

Chevy blazer wont shift into reverse goes forward only

It dont mean its totally bad ok,go to a trany shop an ask for a pressure port test for reverse,it could be a servopiston wich hold the rear band to hold the planetary, and invert the rotation ok,the foward clutches is the same for reverse,so the clutch is not burnt,it will be the piston,if the tech remove the valve body, they can change that piston and it work again, theres its not necesary to remove trany ok,dont worry, its more dificult to find a sincery people than the job itself.GL

Replaced clutch but now hard to shift into gear. will go but hard to shift. heard there was a safety on these that if brake lite not coming on will not go into gear properly.

If it's going into gear hard it's most likely because the clutch is not disengaging enough. Do you have a lot of free play? Does the clutch start to grab with the pedal real close to the floor? If so, check the the nylon bushing under the dash where the pushrod for the clutch master cylinder attaches to the arm. Is the pedal real spongy, is there air in the hydraulic system? Another posibility is that you damaged the pilot bearing causing it to drag and it keeps trying to turn the trany. If you get the rolling a little then try to put it into gear, will it go in easier? If so the clutch is dragging. There is nothing with the brake lights that will cause it to shift hard. With an automatic trany the brake lights will unlock the torque converter. Also with a 4X4 and automatic trany and electric shift on the transfer case, the transfer will not shift unless the trany is in "N" and your foot is on the brake. There is nothing on a manual set up that anything to do with brake lights and shifting.

Ok so im still trying to pull my trany out of my 06 kia spectra 5 and it still wont come apart. with 3 people and pry bars it will only get past the flywheel then spring back agaisnt the block. there are...

Jake, The metal arm that goes through the side of the trans that presses against the clutch when you push on the petal has to come off and out of the trans. It pivots on a ball type thing. Push it forward off its pivot point and remove the arm.

Trany wont come out, feels spring loaded

OK so your problem is that if you can turn the box assy left and right a bit then yes its free and nothing holding it (that s what you think)
GET 2 big levers 1 either side and force it off as the thing thats holding you up is either its rusted up in the splines on the input shaft OR the sprigot bearing has come out on the input shaft but wont come past the clutch centre plate, so force is the answer thats all... and put the new clutch assy in the correct way around (centre plate only goes 1 way check the old one coming out if not sure.. haveagoodday.
Let me know how you get on if any more troubles

'01 model, 130,000 mi, automatic trani slips out of gear at different speeds during acceleration. 1991 3000gt : TRANNY SLIPS OUT OF GEAR. ESPECIALLY WHEN PUNCHING IT AND GOING INTO OVERDRIVE. IT ENGAGES...

this is a worn out transmission front pump and or forward clutch pack, u have low pressure or a internal seal is leaking and you are losing hydraulic pressure that way, that is why it sipls out of gear.
