Doesnt want to even attempt to start the battery is good

Try tapping the starter with a hammer while someone bumps the key. If it tries to turn replace starter if nothing happens then i would say the starter solenoid is probably bad.

Where is the starter located on a 2007 Chevy Impala? It just clicks when I turn it on and lights barely turn on and the air will turn on only when trying to jump the battery. Engine didn't turn on even...

Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses.
Hope this helps.

My car wont start. i turn the key and the car doesnt even try to turn on. the horn and radio works though

Sometimes dirty battery posts cause this issue. Get a wrench, remove the cables from the battery, scrape posts and cables shiny clean and re-install

Have you tried jump starting it? If it will start this way, then either your battery is going bad, or the alternator is not working properly.

If it will not start (not even turn over) with a jump, then the starter may be bad. Good luck...Chris

I removed the battery from my 2003 Jaguar X Type to replace low beam bulb on LH side, then reconnect the battery will not start and clicking sound audible when I try to start it even with a booster...

Sounds like it may be just a loose connection, check both ends of the battery connections to ensure that they are secure.

Otherwise what indication do you get if you just turn ancilleries on (ie turn the key but don't try and start.)

If your consol dispaly is working this is good. If radio is even better.

Check battery terminal voltage.

Hope this helps

If you nothing dont even try to turn over check your battery wires loose or dirty connection. Most likely dirty terminal connections.

05 Dodge Ram will not start or turn over even when being jumped off. Just clicks. Last night when I tried to start it, ALL THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AS WELL AS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.

SOUND LIKE BATTERY IS DEAD.CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE.A GOOD BATTERY VOLTAGE IS 12.5 VOLTS.IF LOWER REPLACE BATTERY.IF BATTERY IS GOOD CHECK BATTERY CABLES FOR TIGHTNESS AND CORROSSION.IF CABLES CHECK OUT GOOD.I AM LOOKING AT STARTER SOLENOID.REMOVE HAVE IT CHECKED.REMIND YOU TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE REMOVING CABLES SO YOU WONT LOSE CODE TO PLAY RADIO.IF IT TURN OUT THE BATTERY IS BAD. If your gas lines were froze then there is obviously water in your fuel system which even once thawed could prevent your car from starting and may not run good if it does. With that being said it obviously has to be cold for your gas lines to freeze and cold weather is ******* your battery especially if it sits for a while. Turn on your headlights and see if they are working good as well as your dome light and radio. If they are not working good or at all charge the battery with a battery charger, even though you have tried to jump it. Your car will have a fairly small battery and the smaller the cold cranking amps your battery is rated for the worse it will be in cold weather, possibly even not turning your engine over. If you do all this and it does not work it may be your starter but my money is on the battery.
