Your vehicle is 10 years on so, I would suspect you have a CVC joint going bad. The CVC joint is mounted next to the wheel and is covered with a rubber boot. If this boot has a tear or hole in it then moisture can enter the joint, which will cause it to fail. Have the CVC joints inspected. It can also be a tie rod end or ball joint going bad. Inspect all steering and drive components. Do not neglect this repair as you can loose steering control if any of these parts fail.

Clack..clack.. clack noise when lightly applying brakes. front passenger side


That is the brake pads slapping in the mounting bracket . When the brakes where done did they use new mounting hardware > Did they lube the contact points for the pad slides etc... Your better off taking it to an ASE certified repair shop , not a tire an brake shop . Or the ford dealer .

That sounds like a stuck lifter, have it inspected ASAP. Also verify there is enough oil in the engine.

The passenger side a-pillar in my 2014 outlander sport makes a clacking rattle on bumps. Dealer replaced the trim piece on the pillar but rattle persists, solutions?


go back to the dealer while its under warranty. if you try to fix it and cause a problem warranty is void. if not satisfied with this dealer go to another.

cv axles going bad?wheel bearing? but you said clicking so i would say cv axles, if its manual check trans fluid, humming can also be the alternator increasing sound with speed overinflated tires etc be a little more descriptive click click? tock tock? clack clack?left side? right side? only when turning? is the licking and the hummming together or seperate

If you hear a clacking sound esp. while turning. Sound like your CV joints (constant velocity) or Front Wheel Drive axle.

could mean a lot,,,valve train,,,timing chain,,connecting rod, or risk pin,,that's the part that connects to the piston to the connecting rod that connects to the crack shaft,,if the sound is more louder on the bottom it could be that,,,if on the passenger side of car the motor noise is loader,,could be timing chain,,,try in locate the clacking noise first,,,

Noise of clack when turning to left and when going through a bump


should be very tight,check where the stabilizer connects to the lower control arm, these are called the stabilixer links they are probably worn out or missing on the left side,if you need more help get back to me as i strive to be the best, please rate my fix,problems get back to me
