Possible valve guide seals are leaking motor oil. The motor oil on the spark plugs can cause a misfire and a loss of power.

Where are the spark plugs?

With the hood open, there is 4 spark plugs and their location is in the front side of the engine. Each plug has a spark plug wire attached to it. The spark plug wires run from the right side of the engine from the coils to the spark plugs.
Caution, make sure you clean around each plug before removing them so you don't get debris in the cylinders.

Describe where to find spark plugs on a 2004 pontiac sunfire.

If you have the DOHC 4 cylinder engine, the long ribbed center section on top of the engine contains the ignition module and coils. Release the 4? bolts and lift the assembly up to expose the spark plugs

You need to have a diagnosis done to it and get an error code in order to proceed with fixing this vehicle else you will be changing parts forever.

Engine code states cylinder 2 misfire. Replaced

sounds like a bad injector, just connection at the injector, also check for leaks at intake, one more thing , do a compression test on that cylinder start there, good luck.

How to change spark plugs in a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire GT

Dear Angel Divine, First determine whether you have a 4cyl. or V6 engine, then look at the engine bank/banks for the exhaust manifold and then the intake manifold, The plugs will be either be between the 2 manifolds(center of cylinder head) or between the exhaust manifold tubes. Call me back if you still have trouble. quicbric(volvo man)
