Try doing a spark test to insure that you are getting a good spark if you have a good spark then i would try doing a tune up and replacing the pcv valve and if you have a check engine light on go to a local parts house and have them do a obd2 scan and see what that comes out to be because it could also be the egr system hope this will help you out please leave a review thanks sincerely D.Jones

Why is there a miss in cyl. 1 that only occurs at idle speed, which seems low (750 rpm)?

Bad head gasket, burnt/stuck valve, or bad piston rings. Do a compression test. None are worth fixing in a high mileage car. It only creates other problem.

How can I get my truck to pass an emissions test when it failed for a high NOx levels?

Sometimes doing a few simple things can not only reduce the emission levels but help your vehicle overall. For starters, check things like the air filter to ensure it isn't dirty and restricting air so your not burning more fuel. Check the spark plugs to make sure all the cylinders are burning fine with no signs of internal issues. Even changing the pcv valve can play a part. Your vehicle is a 94 therefore first generation of diagnostics and have to run a dyno. Sometimes the easiest things are the ones overlooked. Getting into oxygen sensors and catalytic converters seems logical but can be very expensive and not solve your problems. Try the easiest and cheapest way first. It may help more than you think. I hope this tip helps. Good luck.

My 4 cyl mustang is working with only one cylinder spark plugs, cables and ignition coils are new what is it?

When you have Coil Packs not firing Spark... it's usually due to one of two reasons: 1.) the Coil Pack is BAD 2.) the Ignition Control Module (ICM) has fried internally and is not activating that specific Ignition Coil within the Coil Pack ...The most common is the ICM ...The probable reason your catalytic conv. gets red hot is due to raw gas being dumped through the exhaust from the no fire on your cyl... Running it like that can cause severe damage to your conv...

Spark plug on cyl 8 was cracked and looks to have had dust of some sort shot from the cyl through the top of the valve cover. Car has a bad miss associated with this cylinder which a plug boot and...

Sometimes vehicles from the 1990s that are Ford have a problem with the spark plugs wearing down the electrodes until gas builds up and shoots the spark plug out of its threads when too much gas builds up in a cylinder and it detonates.

Have you changed the spark plug after changing the plug boot and ignition coil?

If the car won't turn over, the battery might be dead or low on charge.

Good luck on this repair.

Want to locate pvc valve on 2000 pontiac grand am 6 cyl

You'll find the PCV valve on the right side of the front valve cover. You'll need to remove the valve in order to troubleshoot it to determine if you need a replacement. To remove, pull the PCV valve out of the cover and detach the hose

Test the old PCV valve to determine if it needs replacing. Blow air through it in order to see if it is clogged. If it does not seem to ventilate, then you'll need to install a new valve.

Pop the new PCV valve into the spot of the old valve. With the correct part, it should snap right in. Take the hose and reattach it in order to complete the installation.
