Its bad plug terminals that the speedometer cluster plugs into. common neon

Here is what helped me when my gauges stopped working altogether. They started intermittently working, I'd press on the cluster, and thought it might be the plug myself. One day they just didn't respond to any thing I would do. Turns out it wasn't the plug but some solder points on the circuit board of the cluster. This repair took about 10 minutes! I give you the video that helped me fix this permanently!
