Seems the cars ground needs extra help

Have a pressure check done on your fuel system.

I have the same problem with my 2000 MR2. Just had a diagnostic test done and coming back with P0171and P0174 codes. These codes indicate a whole range of issues from a low fuel pressure, faulty MAF/VAF sensor, Cylinder misfire condition, Faulty Ho2/AF sensor, or Large vacuum leak. The guy I spoke with said he suspected the MAF- Mass air flow sensor. I pulled it and cleaned the sensor portion and reinstalled and it seemed a little better but then had the same issues. Mine stalls when you first start it when the engine is cold and hesitates when you give it full throttle (will only make approx. 4,500 RPM before bogging down. Sometimes when going down a hill at a constant speed you can feel a slight engine stall which immediately clears up.

I have a 1986 toyota mr2 one day it was driving just fine then I hit the accelerator and it was like it was choking out I checked the fuses and relays and fuel filter still have same problem

I assumed your car is using a caburetor fuel feed. If it is you may have to check your cab and get it service. Sometime the float within is not moving freely. If you have it serviced recently, your mechanic may have fixed it the wrong way around. Hope you can solve your problem with this.

Engine choking during ride

Things to check first:
  1. Fuel filter;
  2. Fuel pressure regulator;
  3. Fuel pump;
  4. Ignition system (including ECU)
  5. Quality of fuel (is it contaminated with water or other contaminants?)

Strong starter cranks car longer than usual to start car

Check your fuel filter and are you buying good quality gas. You may also need to take your coil pack off and have it tested. You didnt say what the weather conditions are yet you may look into the choke setup you have on this car. yes newer cars have some type of choke system.

What causes a 1998 s10 2.2 to turn over alot before starting

Since spark, gas and air are the basis for an engine running...check for a good, clean spark going to each cylinder, Check the choke for a jammed preheater coil that is not setting the choke properly.

Ford Focus Deisel chokes on acceleration

Hi mate.

This sounds like a fuel problem.

Some one may have have filled up with petrol. If so you will have to drain the feul tank and change your feul filter.

If only diesel has been put into the tank then carry on as follows until you solve the problem.

Change your fuel filter and air cleaner for a start.

Check your timing.

If you still have the problem, then have your injectors cleaned and reset.

If the problem is still there then you will have to have the fuel pump reconditioned.

You can also check your leak off pipes between the injectors to see if they are in good condition.

I trust this will help you.
