What is the best way to get old gas out of a 1999 Pontiac grand Prix GT 3.8 liter v6

Curtis, Not an easy task to siphon out of GM's, may have to take the filler tube off to get a siphon hose to go past the back flow ball found in a lot of GM's. There are other ways, just be very careful as gas is very flammable and can be dangerous. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2000 elantra, when you are fueling up it keep shuttng of the automatic stop on the pump, have tried different stations, so i assume it to be a vehicle problem. did not see anything that would obstruct...

if some one has tried to suck gas with a hose. they could have pushed the vent line back in the tank . There is a 3/4 line inside your 2 inch to releave presure. have line checked.

I need to pump the gas pedal several times while it is turning over for it to start. My guess is fuel line or fuel pump is bad, but how do i tell which one, and how do i fix it?

Need to check also the fuel filters: Detached hose after the fuel pump, and start it by somebody while you check on the flow of gas from the detached hose. Then do the same after the fuel filter if it still has the same flow.

Cant hold pressure in fuel rail 1993 jeep gand charokee seems to want to start but shuts right down fuel is coming out of line at good rate i replaced fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator no change yet...

i'm assuming you disconnected the fuel line and placed the line in a container to catch the fuel when observing the flow.

it might sound strange but i think there might be a leak in the tank coming from the fuel pump assembly. it's possible a tube or hose is broken on the assembly and the pump is just pumping the gas back into the tank.

there's flow because there is no pressure building up with the line disconnectedand the gas flows. when connected, pressure builds and blows out the break in the tube or hose.

Help i think i put gas with water in tank

See if you can disconnect the fuel line on the fuel tank side of the fuel filter. Connect a rubber fuel hose to the line you just disconnected, and cycle the ignition switch (on and off) very quickly. Make sure the hose is not pointed at you or someone, because there will be fuel under pressure. Maybe have a clamp or vise grips on the endof the hose to control flow. Squirt some fuel into a glass jar, and look for water or sediment in the jar. If it's not clear gas, you'll need to pump out the tank until it is clear. You can try adding some gasline antifreeze, which will make water and gas mix, but it will take two or three bottles to take up two ounces of water. The fuel filter may be contaminated and will need to be replaced, too.

Kink in fuel hose to gas tank, is that a problem?

The problem is that it could vapr lock and you could be stuck on the freeway. Use the proper hose which is a molded hose.
