Remove the jack handle cover inside the left rear luggage compartment, then with a flashlight look towards the wheel well , you will see the keyless entry module on the module will be the five digit code for the doors. If you are unable to read the number you can have it electronically retreived with a scan tool. Please rate this answer i would appreciate it Thankyou RJ

Look inside the trunk lid for a sticker. It may be on the trunk or inside the trunk well. You likely have the code on a plate that Lincoln includes with it's owner's manual. It resembles a small credit card and will have a sticker with the code on it attached.

How do I change the code for key less entery on the key pad on door

Programming a personal entry code The factory set code cannot be reprogrammed but you can create your own 5 digit personal entry code. When pressing the controls on the keypad, press the middle of the controls to ensure a good activation.
Up to three personal entry codes may be programmed to the vehicle. To create your own personal entry code:

  • 1. Enter the factory set code.
  • 2. Within five seconds press the 1-2 on the keypad.
  • 3. Enter your personal 5-digit code. Each number must be entered within five seconds of each other.
  • 4. Press 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6 to indicate which of the three personal entry code positions you wish to use.
  • 5. The doors will again lock then unlock to confirm that your personal key code has been programmed to the module.
Tips:

  • Do not set a code that uses five of the same number.
  • Do not use five numbers in sequential order.
  • The factory set code will work even if you have set your own personal code.
  • If you program a code to a position that already contains a set code, the previously-set code will be erased.

Erasing personal code
  • 1. Enter the factory set 5 digit code.
  • 2. Within five seconds, press the 1-2 on the keypad and release.
  • 3. Press and hold the 1- 2 for two seconds. This must be done within five seconds of completing Step 2.
All personal codes are now erased and only the factory set 5 digit code will work.

Good luck (remember commend and rated this).

Can i find my original key less door entry code using my VIN numb

No you can not retrieve the keyless entry code with the vin number. However you may be able to retrieve the actual key code and have a blank cut. The only problem is your vehicle is a 98 model and that is the cut off on how far back ford goes so yours may or may not be avaliable. You can have your local dealer retrieve this but they would have to have a picture ID and proof of ownership.
The only other option is to have someone use a jocklock to get it open, it is pretty easy to do on this vehicle.

the quickest way is to go to a ford/mercury dealer and give them the vin # they will be able to look it up on the computer and give you the code. you will have to have your registration to prove that you are the owner of the vehicle. they will do this for no charge.
