Remove the timing belt and then you can access the water pump. Medium difficulty. Don't attempt if not sure about timing belt r&r.
You don't take the motor out for a water pump. But you do have to take a bunch of stiff off to get it out of the way. Are you planning on doing this yourself? Just curious, I don't have the specs in front of me and I am a little lazy about looking it up, but some cars have the pump neatly mounted up front where you can get to it easily, some,,,$&^%,, have the pump strategically located underneath 50,000 things, like the timing belt, so when you change your timing belt, you change the water pump. Convenient. But the whole front of the engine has to come off and usually the radiator and the belt. Fun huh? So, get a pile of tools, rubber gloves, pan for fluids, take off the watch, pull the radiator, alternator, power steering pump, timing covers, timing belt, water pump, and then go backwards, your all set. First find out where it is. It might be up front where it belongs. Hope this helps.
