Question about 1997 Honda Accord
Hi if the door will open from the outside and not the in then you need to take the door card/panel off and have a look at the metal bars that opperate the lock you will see a metal bar that goes from the outer door handle to the lock and their should be also one that goes from the inner handle to the lock, now the chances are the inner bar has come off, they tend to ware over time and they will come loose and fall off, it should still be held on at one end either the handle or the lock.
but once you have the panel off you should be able to see what i mean and hopefully if its not damaged then you should be able to push it back on.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Ah!! I had this problem with my 93 toyota carolla.
Pull the handle off - you will see a metal units that connects from the handle to the metal bar inside the door - (do not have to take door panel off for this; should not have to).
The back door on the driver side is set up the exact same way (should be) . take the handle off this door and take the plastic unit off it and use it for the driver door until you can get a new one - or just get a new one for the driver door.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

1. This may require removal of the interior door panel which should not be too difficult to figure out where all of the screws are.
2. Take your time and don't get too wild when forcing or pulling anything. If it fails to come off there is probably yet another clip or screw you missed. Many of the screws are hidden under little caps.
3. I would find a wrecking yard near you that has the part and know ahead of time if you must pull the donor part or if they pull it for you.

possibly your power window regulator is out. basically check the fuses first to make sure you have not blown that, if it is good, then you can order a new window regulator from the dealer or online @ autopartswarehouse.com. to replace the window regulator you will need to will need to remove the door panel, start with the screws on the handle and the arm rest, covered with a plastic cap. the door panel which can be pryed from the bottom with a flat blade screw driver or flat pry bar, it will make a snapping sound. three bolts on the regulator 4 bolts on the window tracks and 2 bolts securing the window, re assemble as you have taken apart, Good Luck!!
