Question about 2002 Ford Explorer
Door ajar alarm intermitinly sounds when all doors are closed.
Where are these sensors and how do I adjust them?
Each door in the truck and the rear hatch has tiny switches attached to the door latch inside the doors, the rear hatch has 2 such switches, anyone of these can stick, and they do on a regular basis, this gives the false light, Any Ford dealer can hook up a scanner to the body control module and ID which paticuliar switch is causing the problem, since pulling all the doors apart is an al day job that is the most cost effective way to go, have the scanner hooked.

Buy a can of wirer dryer and spray down the inside of the door jams until the problem stops. Its worked for me and 3 of my freinds with the same issue.
