It is located on the engine near the thermostat housing, just follow the upper radiator hose to the engine to find it.

My 2003 ford focus stalls out when i turn on the defroster or the air. the fan never comes on to cool the engine. we tried to find the temp sensor but we couldnt find where its located

You may have a locked up compressor. The fan only comes on when temp reaches 225 on high speed. Your low speed fan operation is controlled by the resistor that is between the two fans at the top. The connector usually melts and you will need to get two heavy duty female spade connectors to repair it.

Electrical failure of instruments (temp & fuel gauges, speedometer & rev counter) on 52reg ford focus. All fuses intact. What's the problem?

Check the temp sensor wire that goes to the engine. They will short out to engine and make the dash do strange things.

2003 ford focus zetec 2.0 fans wont come on unless a/c is on. where is the temp sensor or fan switch?

The cooling fans are controled by the engine computer, they are not directly controled by a sensor or switch. If the fans are not energizing you will need to have a scanner to test the electronics to determine why the fans do not come on. However if you turn the a/c on the fans should energize and you could test for power at the fan if power is present then the fan has failed. Please rate this answer this will help me out Thankyou RJ
