This sounds like a fluid issue. Be replacing brakes, do you mean the pads, or the slave units (calipers)? you will need to bleed the brakes.

Is there any special tricks to replacing Front & Rear brakes on 2003 VW Jetta TDI? Tools req'd?

The rear brakes require a specail tool, as they screw in. The tool can be bought at any auto parts store. It looks like a box with little tips on it. The front is like any other car and with a C clamp can be compressed.

How to replace 2005 VW Jetta brakes. Will be nice to have a picture or video on how to replace front and back breaks on a Jetta 2005

the front and rear pads are very easy to replace although you do need a piston wind back tool to replace the rears,my concern is if you are having to ask this question you probally should not be fitting the pads being a safety related item you cannot take risks.my best and honest advice would be to get a mechanic to replace them for you.Sorry if you dont think i,m being helpfull but you cant take chances with brakes.cheers
