By air pump, I presume that you mean the air injection pump, intended to help burn unburned gasses. Look for belt driven pump, with hoses and pipes going to the exhaust manifold(s).

It's the pump involved in throwing the P0410 code. Is that the same one you are talking about? I saw one posting online saying maybe it was under the radiator????

1999 Chevy blazer. Changed fuel pump, wont stay running.engine revs up and down, if I try to push in the gas pedal to see if it will clear up, it bogsdown and dies. Could this be the fuel pressure...

Yes sounds like a regulator issue. On the 99 blazer the regulator is under the plastic intake plenum and is a part of the fuel injection spider. I would also check for vacuum leaks and your idle air solenoid.

How many oxygen sensors are on a 1999 chevy blazer?i found 3 one on each manifold before the cat and one after the cat. but the guys at the local auto parts store said that there are 4 total. am i missing...

if it has 2 cats then it has four sensors. i cat 3 sensors. i dought they all went bad. o2 sensor malfunction will not cause a cat efficiency belw threshold code. i would guess a baf cat on bank one.but if air pump was bad it might be poluted with carbon.try driving it hard for a bit. mabee it will clean up

My Blazer wont start. It turns over and acts like it wants to so its not the starter or battery. I checked the fuel pump that seems to be working fine.. Any suggestions

When was the last time you changed your plugs, fuel and air filter? Also, got gas? Did you pumped gas at your usual place?

Check your fuel pressure.
Hopefully this tank is not full, as you need to pull the tank to change fuel pump, this is mounted onto the tank through the top. There are several plastic fitting and hose connecitons on the tank as well as the fuel level connector. There may also be a Vapor pressure sensor on the tank. After unbolting the tank lower the tank just far enough to remove the wireing and hoses. Make sure top of tank is clean. If you have to move tank out from under Blazer cover hose aconnectionss and wash off top of tank and flange area. Unlock flange and R and R pump assembly. Reconnect hoses and wires, reinstall tank. Connect hose to fuel test port on engine, purge air from fuel system. Check the fuel pressure. InMrFixIt

Diagnostic code 410

PO410, Secondary Air System Performance

Possible Causes:

AIR solenoid power circuit is open (check the U/H IGN fuse)
AIR pump is damaged or has failed (inspect air pump for water)
AIR system check valves and/or pipes are damaged or leaking
AIR system hoses or lines are damaged, pinched or kinked
Base engine problem (e.g., excessive exhaust back pressure)
PCM has failed

The pump is up near the radiator, common problem.

Blazer wont start

The blazer won't start I've changed the Intake Air Temp. sensor but that did not help. I went and got a temperature sensor, my problem is I can't find where it goes. Is there someone who can tell me where it goes and maybe a picture.
