2001 pontiac grand am se v6 3.4L overheats-water pump is good, thermostat is good, replaced seals, replaced coolant reservoir tank, backflushed radiator, checked air intake manifold, checked coolant line....

is the engine fan coming on? , when the heads were removed ,were they pressure tested. u may need to use a carbon block test from the coolant tank. the liquid will turn a different color if exhaust gas is present in the coolant, which would be a internal problem

My heater don't work

Hello dt..... whenever there is no heat but there is cold air, change the thermostat, under the hood. If there is no air blowing, change the air conditioner or A/C relay, under the dash.

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Heater only works while driving. When I stop at traffic light it blows cold air.We had a new thermostat installed, but it did not help

you need to check coolant level in the radiator when the engine is cold and fill it to the top, there might be an air pocket in it from doing the thermostat, and then the fluid level went down, also fill the over flow tank to the full line.

1999 Pontiac Grand Am Overheating

It is probably the problem. To make shure that need to change the gaskets, one of the symptoms use to be thet the temp rises when you are running at speed 50+ average, where is supposed that the car gets a lot of air due by the speed and nobody thinks that will be overheated.
