Question about 2006 Infiniti G
My brake light and battery light are on at the same time. I have just reccently had a new battery placed in my 1995 100,00 mile car. My car is a 1995 g20
Hi having a new battery will not unfortunately cure the battery light, this is on because there is a fault with the alternator/generator if you can source a voltage meter you can test the alternator by connecting it to the battery terminals and then turning ignition, while at idle you should get a reading of 12.5 to 13.5volts when under load you should get 13.5 to 14.5volts, this should not be any lower or higher than those readings if it is then you will have to replace the alternator, but as the light is already on i would suggest this has already gone, and as for the brake light, check your brake pads, as this normally Means that they have come to the end of their life and need replacing....hope this helps please vote thanks
