It is a common problem
Usually it is a result of breakage of the soldered joints to the
module in the door. I guess that the part of the module with
the pins are fixed to the door, but the board that they are
soldered to is not fixed. So as one shuts the door, over time,
the pins poke further through the board and break the (rather
weak) soldering that holds them to the board. Then the board
is loose, and an intermittent fault prevails. There are six solder
joints that are prone to this failiure. Particularly two of the pins
have a tendency to poke too far and break their soldered
connections. The symptoms (never locking, appearing locked
even when not locked, being unable to unlock etc) may depend
upon which of the joints have broken.
Sometimes it can be one of the four (?) microswitches that fails.
This will usually (but there are hacks) *require* you to replace
But particularly when the fault is intermittent, it seems fair to
suspect a break in the soldering which, if you can get the door
open, can be fixed with a soldering Iron.
You can buy a whole new module (at about 100-150USD) plus
installation (perhaps another 100 USD). Or you can open up
the door (see link above) and try re-soldering the joints yourself.
Several people have said that re-soldering works for them.
We are going to ask our garage to open up the door and try

OK, you have a code PO341 which means their is a problem with the signal the ECU is receiving from the cam sensor. It does not necessarily mean the sensor is bad. It can be one of these things.
1. Cam sensor wiring routed too close to spark plug wiring (causing interference) 2. Poor wiring connection at cam sensor 3. Poor wiring connection at PCM 4. Bad cam sensor 5. Damaged reluctor wheel You replaced the cam sensor and the problem is still there so we can assume that a defective cam sensor was not the problem. Do this.
1. Check that the wiring isn't routed too close to any secondary ignition components (coil, spark plug wires, etc.) 2. Visually inspect the wiring at the sensor for any burn marks, discoloration indicative of melting or chafing 3. Visually inspect the reluctor wheel through the cam sensor port (if possible) for any missing teeth or any damage 4. If reluctor isn't visible from outside the engine, visual test can only be done by removing cam shaft or intake manifold (depending on engine design)

there is either a problem with the wiring going to the front oxygen sensor, or with the oxygen sensor itself. good luck!
