Question about 1995 Nissan Pathfinder
How do i know the fuel pump is bad and not that the car has wiring problems
Hi you can do a small test to see if the pump is u/s or the wiring is at fault, locate the 2 wires going to the fuel pump, get a small voltage bulb and 2 wires, find which is the + and which is the - on the pump wires and then tape the wires to the bulb in the order of, out side rim of bulb is - and the bottom of bulb is + then it is just a simple case of turning the key and seeing if the bulb lights up, if it does then its the pump if not then its wiring or fuse fault...you can test pump to but you will need to gain access to a + and - connection, ( i use the rear lights as then you do not need such long wires and just turn lights on to supply the power ) just connect the wire to the + and - going to the pump, and listen for a humming noise if you hear it then pump is ok, if not then pump u/s..phew lol, hope that helps please vote thanks
