Replaceing head lights

If you have the commercial model with the square headlight bulbs, the trim ring comes off.
If yours takes a regular bulb that is made onto the base, it comes out from the back.

Usually you pull the trans for this job, but BE SURE that the rear main seal is the issue. Everything that leaks shows up in that area.

Sorry to Bear BAD NEWS But the Headliner Has to Come back OUT, as I BELIEVE that SOMTHING has been DISCONNECTED, and the only way to Help LOCATE the problem in to BACKTRACK. Sounds like the OVERHEAD LIGHTS are Tied into Your Power SOURCE And its disrupting the Other Components. I Hope Hubby Can Stand REWORKING the HEADLINER. GOOD LUCK and I can ALSO be reached @ aol.com this Screen Name Is same as Aol name , Feel FREE to Hit me up for More INFO.

1996 gmc sanoma cyl head 4 cyl

On the side of te head above the # 3 spark plug check to see if ou have a frost lug there in the head, Also check if there are any heater hoses in this area to be sure that they are not spraying antifreeze from a pin hole. Before you go and buy a new or used head be sure that the head is the actual problem, it could be as simple as a head gasket. Also check to see if you have white smoke coming out of your exhaust as this is a tell tail sign of a head gasket.
