It depends on the plugs that are installed in there now the standard plugs can go upto 60000 miles the platium plugs are suppose to go 100000 mles but ive seen a lot of platuins plugs that didnt make it that far.

95 tacoma 2.7 liter cranks and idles fine once throttle is applied to take off she hickups and jerks and runs horrible.. Replaced the coil, rotor cap, plugs, and fuel filter.. I cannot find any vaccum...

If it also happens when you put it in drive with the brakes on and try to accelerate, it's not a rolling problem. Sometimes as the engine accelerates, it lifts up against the motor mounts, and wires going to the firewall may lose connections. Try gently pulling on the wires behind the motor while it's idling to see if it gets rough. Think simple!

My car jerks on running and ignition stops at idle position

If the car engine functions without jerks when static and idling responding to increased fuel delivery when accelerator is pressed there is nothing wrong with fuel system. Now while running if it jerks it may be due to breaks in fuel flow, make 7 break in electrical output to the spark plug through capacitor/contract breaker (in earlier models ) or electronics system in MPI systems. There may be another reason --jamming of break due to ma-functioning hydraulic break system. Try elimination defects one by one or take help from a mechanic nearby.

I have a 1995 maxima with hickup or hesitation

It sounds like a clogged catalytic converter. If you can unbolt it; try unbolted it and see how it runs. Also try unplugging the sparkplug wire one at a time and see if the shaking gets worse or stays the same. When you pull a spark plug wire and the car stops shaking then that cylinder isn't firing. Watch out though, you'll get a nasty shock if you do it without insulated pliers. It could be a stuck valve or bad ignition.

2004 Suzuki Verona hesitating and jerking with ck eng light on

I've got the same make/model and issue. I've got a mechanic I trust who changed the spark plugs and pc valve (about $200). The problem has persisted and he's telling me we need to change the spark plug wires which I avoided because they were going to cost me $120 @ Autozone. So I knew if I'd ordered through my mechanic or the dealer they would have been twice that not including labor. If it doesn't work...I'll be calling click and clack.

One thing I can say...is that this car is the best example of why you need a trustworthy mechanic. Someone who is willing to try and eliminate an issue one at a time versus what they did to you. I really love my car and have grown to realize the parts are hard to find and rival BMW's in price. Find another mechanic...and if when you buy a part for routine maintenance...buy two.
