Question about 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe

1 Answer

I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe that the transmission went out on the other day. I found a 1994 4L60E that i want to put in it. Will it work without any modifications? By the way, they are both 2WD versions. Thanks

Your brake lights and hazard warning lights should not work without the fuse installed.

Will a 1990 chevy 1500 truck 4x4 transmission fit in a 1997 4x4 chevy tahoe

yes it will as long as it is the same model transmission. As long as you get a transmission out of a standard cab truck you should be ok. ( for a good idea Most 88-98 gm trucks, full size blazers, jimmys, tahoes, and yukons will interchange) same chassis just different bodys and emblems

1999 chevy tahoe check guages light

it sounds like the speed sensor is faulty, but you should have it checked in case it is an output or input sensor too.whats happening is, since the computer has no eyes it totaly depends on sensors to know what is happening,if it sees no speed it won't up shift the transmission because it thinks your sitting still.

1999 chevy tahoe...got spark and fuel but will not start. new coil, new crank sensor, new plugs. still won't start. all fuses are good. randomly it will run for a few days and then it will die. HELP. have...

Well, since it runs for a few days, we'll assume that compression is not an issue. When it dies, it has to be losing either spark, fuel, or air. It must be found out which one before you can find ot why.

Reverse Gear is Sluggish and makes noise.

I would say you should re check if you have 2nd and 4th. If not you need to have the sun shell replaced in the transmission. this is a comon problem. I hope this helps.

My transmission started slipping between 40mph and 55mph and only in overdrive i have a 1999 chevy tahoe and i was wondering what could i do about it

the 1999 tahoe is known to have transmission problems, you are most likely having thrid gear slip, really all you can do is have the transmission rebuilt or install a used good one.

4wd light says service

Does the 4-wheel drive work ? Most of the time, it is a reminder to have your fluid changed. Other times, it could be a vacuum leak in the line that engages the 4-wheel drive. Check both of those first.
