The longevity of any engne is completely variable , depending on the type of use , and maintanece of the vehicle since new. Any of the ford engines in the 1992 model year are certainly capable of 100,000 to 150,000 or more, the 4.9 liter i have seen them with over 300,000 miles

Engines are like us humans. The better care they get the longer they last
\Change the oil at every 3000 to 4000 miles and do the preoper suggested maintenance by Fords outline in their manual for a long life
I own a 2000 Mountaineer with 190000 miles. It still runs like new although the body is starting to rot
The oil is changed every 4000 or sooner
Tuneups are done at 65000
Suspension is checked every year

How do i figure out which cylinder is cylinder 6 on my Chrysler 300 m year 2000. The location is in the engine dealing with the spark plugs.

no 6 is the last in an inline engine and last in the left bank facing the engine in a v 6
or second from the front in the left bank facing the engine for v 8
probably has the number cast into the inlet manifold as well

2.5 L Engine surges when cold

All the things that were replaced were not what should have been looked at. The problem is either a temp sensor in the engine, a temp sensor in the air intake called a MAF sensor or the egr system.

Engine hesitation

When is the last time the engine had a tune up with new spark plugs and an inspection of the ignition coils? Ignition coils were a pretty common issue with the V6 engine around that model year.

If they are taken care of very faithfully with regular oil changes and complete tune ups are done I have seen them last 180000 + only if they are taken care of.

92 Camry, have to start several times before engine turns on, onl

weak fuel pump, clogged injectors, air or coolant temp sensors out of specs. Timing belt was put on wrong. Timing is off. Map sensor out of specs. You do have a light on. Fixing why the light is on may fix your problem.
