When you are cranking does the engine sound the same as it did before it over heated if it sounds faster you may have warped the head and blown the head gasket try dueing compression test first if this is a 4 cyl there pretty easy to do.

Cannot diagnose or run temp. Sealer for what i believe is head blown because car wont start it cranks but sputters and kills battery?

Sounds like head gasket again, but may be more serious this time. Overheating is not something to take lightly.

Pull plugs. crank. Water come out of cylinders? Head gasket. Possible cracked block or head this time, too. I'd be looking at a replacement engine.

My cabrio wont start it will crank but not fire

When you squirt water on plug wires and the car stalls, that means that your plug wires are bad. PLUG WIRES (not rotor, cap, or any sensor).
Replace your spark plug wires with new, and you should be fine.

This sounds like a bad primary ignition coil, that is overheating and shorting out. Check for spark at the plug wire when it quits. Do this by inserting Phillips head screwdriver into sparkplug wire and hold 1/2 inch from manifold bolt while someone cranks it over. You should have a blue spark if not replace ignition coil. Hope this helps, please post a comment that this is solved on So I get credit for a solved problem if it does. If not, check back and give me more info.

On hot days the etude cuts out whilst driving, after +- 20 minutes it starts again and drives as if nothing is wrong.

I have seen corrosion problems inside the coil end of coil wires on slightly older Mazdas. not sure if yours has a distributor or not, but if it does, this type of corrosion could be overheating the coil. would suggest if applicable, replacing both the coil, and the spark plug wires.

Cranks but wont start

You need to check and see if the plugs are getting voltage/spark. If they are not then check and see that the coil is getting voltage. It sounds like you possibly have a bad coil. Something is causing your plugs to not fire.

Wont Start

Have another look at your plug wires, and make sure that you have them in the right order. As you probably know, if the firing order is wrong, you can have problems. That is somewhere for you to start, anyway.
