The harness itself may interchange, however EVERYTHING else will be different. The engine languages are completely different.

Can i replace a 96 sentra engine with a 96 nissan 200sx engine of the same year?

Possibly, if they are the same size (cid/litre). Most vehicles in the year would have the same sensors and such. The biggest problem with swap-outs may be things such as the oil pan and headers as they may be different because of body styling. You really can't change the engine size because the wiring harness and the PCM programming would not be correct for the new engine and reprogramming, while possible, is costly.

Will a 2004 2.7 litre motor out of a Dodge Stratus run and work in a 2002 Chrylser Sebring 2.7? both have sameengine codes

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup so I have had some experiences (mostly bad) with Dodge electronic ignition systems.
I have no specific knowledge about a Sebring or Stratus but as someone who has been working on cars and trucks for the better part of 40 years I'll make a guess that the computer control module in the Sebring is different than the CCM in a Stratus that is a two year newer model. Since you are dealing with engines from 2 different year models there were likely some (maybe minor) changes to the electronic ignition system over the two years. If the wiring harness connectors for the CCM in the Sebring and Stratus are identical I would move the CCM from the Stratus into the Sebring and see if the Stratus engine will then fire. Some questions to consider:
1. Was the Stratus engine running OK before you removed it from the Dodge?
2. Are you sure all electrical connections are correct (and complete) after installing the Dodge engine in the Sebring?

My 2002 Dodge Stratus has been stalling at random and blowing the pcm 20amp fuse

Check the Firewall bulk head connector for corrosion and check the PCM harness plug for tightness

Change the crank sensor the cam sensor and the pcm and the 2001 jeep grand cherokee still is having an issue staying started and the gauges going crazy as well as the windows not working

I cant explain the windows but the stalling can be the wiring harness at the under the hood . you did not mention engine size but i know on in line 6 the harness goes around the rear of valve cover if you move it around it will stall if bad.

I replaced a 1996 S10 engine with a 1998 2.2 engine, with knowledge of the crank position sensor difference. Is there any way I can make it work?

IF YOU HAVE SAME ENGINE YOU CAN TRY REPROGRAMING USING A TECH SCANNER.BUT IF YOU HAVE 2 DIFFERENT ENGINES CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WIRING DIFFERENT.YOU ARELOOKING AT A HEAD ACHE AND PCM PROBLEMS.ALL WAY BEST TO PUT BACK SAME ENGINE THAT CAME WITH TRUCK.BACK WHEN I WAS A KID IN THE 60S.YOU COULD SWAP OUT ENGINES LEFT AND RIGHT WITH NO PROBLEMS.ENGINE CRANK RIGHT UP NOW IN THE COMPUTER ERA CARS WITH PCM WILL MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO CHANGE ENGINES.PCM DONT KNOW THE ENGINE IT WONT CRANK.

I WOULD PUT BACK THE ORIGINAL ENGINE BECAUSE ALL SENSORS YOUR IGNITION COIL AND PCM DIFFERENT.YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE PCM PROBLEMS.YOUR PCM WILL NOT RECOGNIZE ENGINE. IF YOU CHANGE A 3.1L ENGINE TO A 3.4L ENGINE.YOU GOING HAVE STARTING PROBLEMS AND PCM PROBLEMS.
