Question about 1996 Audi A6
5w30 is recommended up to 100 degrees. over that and it is recommending a 20w50. I would use a good synthetic 5w30 which is good for much higher temperatures and will easily perform well in the +100 degree range as well as the -0 temp range. Mobil 1 or Amsoil fit the bill nicely.

1994 audi 100cs 2.8 oil light comes on when car warms up at idle and again when car reaches 50 mph but when its wet out, instead of the oil can flashing it has four lines flashing.in the indicator window.

Use synthetic oil. It cost a bit more, but German engines run smoother and quieter on synthetic. Mobil 1 is what I've used, but I recently switched to LiquiMoly, its a bit cheaper and meets all requirement specifications. You can find it at Napa Auto Parts.
