I think your release (throw-out) bearing is bad on your clutch system. You'll need to replace your clutch kit so make sure the kit comes with a new release bearing and a new pilot bearing. Be sure that the garage that does the work promises to replace those items along with the clutch replacement. There should be NO EXTRA charge for this since it would be the easiest thing to do out of the whole job.

This could be a fan belt that is too loose or worn out. With the motor off, pull on the belts and see if they move more than 1/2 inch. If they do, and/or if the belt looks shiny on the underside. You can try tightening the belt. If it has not been changed in 5 years, it is time to go with a new one if it's the serpentine type or all of them if you have 3 or 4. If the belt looks good, it could be a pulley or the a/c unit clutch.

Try the belts first, if that's not the culprit, run the engine and turn on the A/C to see if the compressor is the squeaker.

Brakes make a whistle noise when applied and sometimes a low grown or grinding when coming to a slow stop or start.

A grinding or rumbling noise can also be symptoms of a wheel bearing or constant velocity joint in a driveshaft. A worn wheel bearing can also cause a 'whistling' sound (as can a worn CV joint).

A grinding noise with brakes is either worn pads causing metal to metal contact on the brake disk/rotor, or the brake backing plate catching on a spinning rotor ... or a loose/missing anti squeal brake shim (they stop the pads from rattling and vibrating).

However, as you say a mechanic has looked at the brakes and can't find anything wrong .. I think I would begin to suspect a wheel bearing or constant velocity joint on the driveshaft (front wheel drive cars).

97 acura 2.2 cl engine light p0302 code

A P0302 is indicating that cylinder # 2 is misfiring...Cylinder # 2 is the second plug counting from the front to rear of engine...Main causes for misfire are: defective spark plug, spark plug wire...When was last time plugs were changed? if it has been awhile I would suggest changing them...Also the spark plug wires should be replaced...Changing one plug and/or one wire isn't a good idea; change them all...Plugs cost two or three dollars apiece and a set of wires around $15...Standard motor products wire set # 4717...Spark plugs; Bosch platinum gaped at .044

2000 montero sport: There's a loud squealing noise coming from the engine. What could be wrong?

Squealing is most common with loose or worn belts, I would start by replacing the drive belt on the front of the motor and go from there, Its easier to troubleshoot a squealing motor if you know that the belt or belts are good.

1991 ACURA LEGEND MAKES SQUEALING NOISE WHILE DRIVING

If you think the noise is coming from the engine, you could take each belt off one at a time and run the engine to see if the noise stops.

There is a squealing noise when I turn the steering wheel.

Possible solution may be a new serpentine belt. When you turn the steering wheel it is an added torque/tension against the belt from the power steering drive pulley. A worn and dry belt may tend to squeal as the extra grip on that pulley is applied. You would have to pinpoint just where the squeal is coming from to be sure the power steering pump is the origin of the noise. There may also be other reasons if its due to a worn out belt, idler and tensioner pulley's could be making noise as well.

There is a squealing noise under the clutch pedal of my 95 acura. When I apply slight pressure to the clutch pedal the noise goes away. TY.

I assume that you are getting your car checked at regular interval and also having car services at regular time. If services are done on time than it seems a simple problem with your cluch pedal. You clutch pedal need servicing and some lubrication. Check your chutch wire also which connects clutch pedal to the gear box. Now if you have not serviced your car at regular interval that the problem can be anything.

How to install a clutch on acura CL 2.3L 1998

Plenty to mention. Best way is to get the Hanyes Repair manual-sold for around $20, with plenty of stuff in it. A few things:
Disconnect battery.
Take off starter-motor.
Remove brake calipers, and tie them to struts.
Remove front tires.
Disconnect clutch master-cylinder
Jack up the car and support it on jack-stands.
Unbolt the clutch-housing from the engine, drag it out.
Installation is reverse of removal.

I have a 1995 Acura Legend, air conditioner blower stopped workin

It means the blower fan is not running, look for wires that got knocked off, usually at the motor....

Good news is the AC sounds like it is working correctly, so this repair cost should be smaller. Apply external power to the fan terminal to see if it goes, if it does, problem is upstream, switch, resistors, etc.

But sounds like a fan. Test it. independently from the rest of the car
