The fuel pump in this car is electric and is inside the fuel tank, it uses the fuel it sets in for lubrication and for cooling, when u run out of gas this causes the tiny electric pump to severly overheat and many times it ruins the pump, and that is what has happened here, u will need to pull the gas tank and replace the fuel pump. also replace the fuel filter.

2001 dodge dakoto ran stopped at store turned engine off, back to start engine started but run rough an stalls . wont stay running without foot on gas but runs rough and stalls when take foot off gas

This could be he Idle Control Valve and is around 50 dollars and a easy fix. Also try STP 5 in 1 fuel cleaner for a couple of tanks if you are using the cheap gas

2001Mercedes E320. Drives fine until I take my foot off gas peddle the car is still running but gas peddle does not work turn off then on runs fine until I take my foot off the peddle what is happing

If you have drive by wire. I would check the TPS first. It's under the gas pedal. (bad location). Unplug it and plug it back it. (bad connection) see if it still does it. If so. Have the codes read. I replace a lot of these because of the location. Bad water and moisture source.

91' bonneville ran out of gas and now it wont stay running unless my foot is on the gas

Check TPS -Throttle Position Sensor

May be worn out

Test it --not replace-- unless it has failed a test

Also the fuel pump maybe worn out as well

Every time i take my foot off the peddle my car shut off

could be water in their gas , add a can of heet in your gas tank to remove the water it is very cheap and at almost all gas stations/walmarts so on.

TRUCK BATTERY DIES,STARTS WHEN JUMPED BUT WONT STAY RUNNING WITHOUT FOOT ON GAS

Some models have to be retaught how to idle once the battery dies, so you need to start the truck and feather the gas peddle to keep it running and do this for a few minutes, the computer has to relearn how to idle the engine.

The car was running fine after i let it warm up. i ran outta gas and every since that the car will stall out when the gas peddle is pressed. it reves up then stalls out i have to keep pressing on the gas...

usually if you run your car or truck dry it messes with the fuel pump really badly so i would check your fuel pressure. not sure what kind of car or truck you have but its really easy to look up how to check your fuel pressure on the internet. its also a good idea to put an additive in with your next fill up just to lube everything back up. oil only lubes the one side and a lot of people dont know that additives really save your engine some stress

1995 Jeep Cherokee will not stay running

Did the engine run before the cap, rotor?
The butterfly is operated bya cable from the gas pedal which controls the amount of air into the intake, the fuel is controled by the throttle position sensor, and map sensor and idle is controlled by a idle air control valve which regulated idle rpm by the amount of air allowed into the intake.
I would have to say that either the iac has gone out,or the hole where the iac pintle goes has carboned up blocking air flow,or the worst case the ecm is not the right one from a 1995 to a 1987 motor but if it ran ok before I would look into the probability that your problem is the iac.

Car won't start

try this, if the car wont start push the pedal all the way to the floor and hold it ther while you crank. It sounds like you are flooding the car some how. Pushing the pedal to the floor puts the car into clear flood mode and it shuts off the fuel flow. try and see just a suggestion
