I have a 2009, HD 2500, diesel truck. Between the speeds of 40-50 miles per hour my back tires bounce. The dealership has replaced all four Bridgestone tires with Michelins. Yesterday I had the tires rotated and balanced, still have the bouncing problem. As much as this truck cost I should have a smooth ride.

Did anyone inspect the shock absorbers? Run the tires at the lower air pressure limit unless you are hauling heavy loads. Have the rear wheel alignment checked--it could have a bent axle housing. Check the rear universal joint and drive line for any damage. Did the truck, when new, have this problem? Is there any strange noise occurring when this happens? Hope some of this helps!

This could be a number of things, but you might start with getting your tires balanced and steering aligned as those are the two most common causes in my experience.

There is a wobble at about 35 miles an hour but drives out at about 40 miles per hour

Most low speed wobbles are caused by a tire becoming out of round as it wears down the tread. Probably a front tire. Jack the tire just till it is off the ground and turn the tire looking at the clearance of the tire above the ground. Notice how much it changes as you go around. Try this with each tire to find the problem.

Tread separation will also cause this. The above procedure will also work for this.

After rotating tires on 07 GMC2500 HD, truck bumps & bounces

It has to do with true round or weight. either the rim is out of round or is damaged for some reason. Or maybe the rotors are not balanced. Sometimes wedge style weights are used and they fall off. Good luck.
