Question about Ford Escort
It's possible; however, the best way to find a leak is to get under the vehicle when it has not been run for sometime, (engine cold); and wipe everything down that is wet with oil (or fluid). With vehicle level, start engine and let run until at operating temperature. Shut off, raise vehicle, and watch to see where the leak is coming out of. If you cannot see anything, you may want to have a mechanic with a vehicle hoist take a look to determine where the leak is at.
