Hello,Have you put a scanner on it,and followed a trouble chart,for a 2006 Fusion?
Have you watched the mode door actuators,when switching the DATC Control?

    i've changed everythingon a/c ford fusion all dealer parts and the compresor is not turning on by itself

How can you tell if the a/c clutch or the a/c compressor is going out if the noise is coming from the same location as well as the compressor still blowing cool air?

This answer is a little tricky to understand unless you read it carefully.

The compressor clutch has an idler bearing in it. This means the clutch can constantly make noise while it turns and the compressor is off. On an individual basis, each bearing is unique by the amount of bearing wear has occurred. Most will be quieter when engaging the compressor in "lock" position, but a bearing missing rollers can be loose in the locked position and be lopsided in how it grips the compressor. The pulley will not roll true or straight to the rotating compressor shaft.

The compressor can make noise separately from the clutch because it needs an internal oil supply for its bearings. There are A/C oil cans and
Freon cans with oil in them. Just like motor oil, there are differences in what type of oil the compressor takes. It is relatively inexpensive to add this type of oil to renew the life of the compressor.

When the compressor is turning, the inner pulley will be locked to the front pulley clutch and both pulleys will be turning. If there is a rumbling sound, it is likely the compressor, but try oil first. The compressor is a pump. It is not silent. You can expect to hear the muffled chirping or clicking of internal valving as it forces compressed gas or liquid past the valving. The valving clicks or chirps as it keeps the flow from backing up into the compressor head.

For a time, the compressor will cool as long as it turns and the clutch turns the compressor shaft. If the bearings inside the compressor seize up, it will probably break the serpetine belt. If the compressor clutch bearings fail, they will start making noise both when the A/C is off and when the A/c is on.

Many times a clutch will be changed only to find that the compressor is also bad. It is not a 1 to 1 relationship. A guess would be a 1 in 10 or 20 occurrence. And it is something even the best mechanics may misdiagnose. This is why sometimes a compressor is included as part of the total estimate, a worst case senario.

Is the switch that turns on cooling fans the same switch that turns on the air compressor i just replaced compressor and other parts and had it vacumed out ,oiled and recharged . and compressor wont

possible you have a bad low or high pressure switch on a/c system bad causing compressor not to engage, find switchs and jump across wires and see if compressor engages

Engine dies as soon as I turn on the air or heat.

If by heat you mean defrost, it could be a seized AC compressor or compressor clutch, since the AC compressor is also engaged when in defrost mode to remove moisture from the air.

Try turning the flat, round plate on the front of the AC compressor by hand (WITH THE ENGINE OFF!!) If turns with only a little resistance, the compressor is most likely NOT your problem. If it not turnable by hand, then your compressor is seized up will most likely need replaced.

Hot wire the compressor from battery and see if it turns on. If it does then there is fault in AC switch/relay/wires. If the compressor still not running then compressor coil is gone, fortunately it can be replaced easily and you need not change the whole compressor.

How much compressor oil do I add when changing the ac compressor on a 04 expedition with front and rear ac?

When replacing the compressor the dryer should also be replaced, you put 2oz of oil in compressor and stand compressor on pulley for 5 min, then after install turn clutch 10 turns to pump most oil out of compressor, the dryer should have 2 oz of oil also, if you are flushing the ac system out with a solvent then more oil is needed for the system, if your just replacing the compressor then 2oz in compressor.

Possible Low on Freon, Bad Compressor Clutchhead, Blown hose, which in turn let all the freon out. Manually power up the single wire going to the compressor with the car running and see if the compressor clutch head turns on. If so Odds are the compressor is good. Check all hoses and compressor for buildup of oil which would be assumed as a leak.

have the a/c compressor checked, the a/c compressor might be locking up due to wear and bad bearings. one way to test is to try turning the compressor clutch while the ENGINE IS OFF, if the clutch is very hard to turn or won't turn at all by hand then the compressor is bad. the clutch is what turns the pully, the pully should spin freely, the compressor clutch is on the end of the compressor on the pully side.
