Hi: Its sounds almost like you are Low on R-34 Coolant and being low makes your Compresor to your A/C Cycle Al The Time Its Trying to keep up with the Rest of the A/C System,Causing it also sometimes it will die.You Have a Pressure Sensor that Tells your system when it needs to Run your Compressor to Keep your system running and Cooling Properly.Check or Have your R-34 Frefrigerant Check See if you Need to Recharge Your System. You might whatto let a Garage /Shop do this so they can Vacum your System Down 1st.This Clears all the Air, Refrigerant and Most Commpressor Oil. They will or Should Recharge it with new refrigerant ,Oil, And Bring Your System Back up To Specs. And as Far as it Dying on you off and On. Possibly is really low on R-34 or your Compressor CLUTH is Going Out And Trying to Lock Up. Hope this Helps you Solve your Problem,Let Me Know Please by Voting my Advice i Have Given Your, Thanks Much The WYOCWBOY

I have a 1988 GMC 1500 with a 305 the problem is that it wont idle I found that if I pull the vacum line off the MAP sensor it is fine for 30 seconds then dies I got a new map sensor and nothing chan

Change the PCP valve and run the heater. This should take care of it. You only have to run the heater one time as this is controlled by the vacuum system. This will cause your motor to run proper.

Upon starting 99 ram 1500 it starts to idle down and almost die but once i give it gas its fine for a while what to do?

Have someone check the idle air control valve. When you are idling the intake air takes a different path into the motor than it does when you depress the accelerator. A hunting / erratic idle is a good indicator of a faulty IAC. Sometimes you can clean them but best to replace.

180k miles, new plugs/wires/battery/oil-filter change, idles at 500 just fine until turn on heater. With heater on it goes below 500 and will sometimes die at stop light or when pulling into parking spot.

You have a vacuum leak inside your vehicle in the ducting system. If it only does it when you go to heat i would look at the vacuum actuator that controls your heater valve and the vacuum hoses connected to it.

1990 full size blazer starts fine idles then dies

sounds real easy either a bad idle air control solenoid or more likley a blown throttle body gasket. to test fro a blown gasket, with engine running and cool spray carb cleaner or brake cleaner around base of tb were it bolts to intake. when it hits the bad area, should idle down and be normal for a second or 2. iac is possible, try this first since its so common and let me know
