Hi this sounds like you might have a relay that is on the blink, even though it only does it to one of the lights , this is because they are on separate circuit from each other, you will have to locate your fuse box and find the headlight relay, it should be clearly marked on the cover, and try changing it out, or.. you might just have a loose or corroded wire to the plug on the back of the headlight itself, pull the plug off the back of the headlight and examine it for a greenish type powder if you do find that the wires may be water logged and might need replacing from a certain point on the loom, or just clean the plug first and see how you go, some electrical contact grease is ideal....hope this helps

I have a 2006 jetta 2.5 automatic. the airbag warning light comes on although there seems to be no problem. A lamp light stays on even though i have no headlight or turn/backup/break light/trunsignal...

My jetta 2.5 2006 had a defective wire harness in the driver's door with cracked insulation causing intermittent short-circuits bringing battery discharge and no start-up in the morning.
I suspect all the cars that had their wiring made with the same roll of wire will experiment similar problems.

hi each h/light on car has its own fuse as does the offside and nearside side and tail lights also a seperate fuse is for the brake stop lights so if you check the fuse box and fuses you may find fault ? also if you check the underneath of panel cover you may find indication of each fuse and its amp rating and purpose ?
