What makes my Mercury grand marquis run hotter when I turn the air conditioning on? It does not run all the way to the H but it gets up there. How can I make it hold its temperature between the H & C

when the ac is running it puts a bigger strain on the engine & runs at a slightly higher rev, basically the ac runs off another belt that has no tension when ac is off, but when on requires more power, more power more heat, it may help to have the thermostat checked, some engines have a different rated thermostat for non ac models, maybe yours has wrong one.

Ford F250 Super duty V10 AC stopped working and now I hear a noise when I turn fan on

The a/c noise is either the clutch going bad and slipping which is very common on the V10. When its slips its not pumping, a clutch kit can be bought at any parts house for around $45-$50.00. About 30 minutes to put on. The other is a pump bearing going bad, which isn't a quick fix and needs the whole pump replaced, if that's the case always replace a new dryer when replacing the pump,, I would put money on the clutch...

Radiator fan always engaged when AC is on

Radiator fan is supposed to blow anytime the A/C is on. Thats how you check to see if a fan is working, cause its supposed to blow anytime the A/C is on , but not neccesarily anytime the engine is running.

Where is the refrigerant control valve on ac compresser

Check to see if radiator fan is working when you turn on the AC. Anytime the AC is on the radiator fan must be on even if the engine is not hot yet.

My volkswagon beetle is running hot and has a knocking noise when you put in drive

Is the knocking noise can be heard if you have neutral on and accelerate and decelerate the engine?
The running hot could be several things but the basic ones to look at are if the radiator and condenser are dirty and if your cooling fan coming on when the engine reach tempt for fan to kick on. You have two fans. the second to the right is for the AC when the AC is on which should run as soon as you turn on the AC. The left fan, driver side in engine compartment, is the one that works with the coolant tempt sensor.
