The fuse might be there but its burnt out. Change the fuse/relay and see. if nothing happens then it could be the actual compressor itself that is out.

Hope that helps.

Inspect the fuse panel located in the side of the dash that is accessible when you open the door. I think that it is a 25 amp fuse but am not familiar with the G6

Air conditionor was noisey then turn on engine would stop ,now it will not do anything even if set on max air cond. where is fuse?

It is possible you are low on freon, if so the clutch will not ingage, It is also possible that the Clutch on the compresser went out., If this happens it would break the belt because the clutch wont turn....good luck

2002 lancer air cond serviced recently and now the compressor wont kick in

The compressor is designed not to kick in unless there is enough coolant in the system. If the air conditioner is low on coolant it will not run when the AC is turned on. If it was serviced but not sealed up correctly , the coolant may have leaked out. You will have to stop the leak and recharge it for the compressor to kick in.
Also be sure to double check the fuses on the car. Flat fuses and block fuses just in case a system was accidentally shorted.

1979 pontiac trans am 400 4 speed with air cond.

I may have a picture for that, I will check in the morning and reply if I have it. If you want the ball stud (pivot ball) for the cross shaft you can get it at NPD (National Parts Depot). http://www.npdlink.com/
For the one on the frame side, it part no C-4016-1C $10.45 phone 1-800-235-3445. They have different warehouses in California, Michigan, North Carolina and Florida, so tell them where you are and they'll ship it from the closest. Other options would be Ames Performance (www.amesperf.com) and Classic Industries (www.classicindustries.com), all good places.
