Air conditioner blows hot but freon is full

Your compressor could be faulty. Check to see if it engages when you press the AC button with the car running.

No electrical power to AC Compressor. The switch light comes on in car when AC power button is turned on.

  1. Check if air blows with the fan setting turned to high.
  2. Check that the radiator cooling fan engages when the A/C button is pressed.
  3. Locate the compressor.
  4. Turn on the A/C.
  5. Check if the compressor's clutch has been engaged.
  6. If the clutch engages, the fault is elsewhere.
  7. If the clutch does not engage, check for power to the clutch.
These steps might help find the problem.

I Have A Mercedes Benz E40 2002 AC Compressor Is Not Turning On But A Mechanic Checked It Once And Compressor Is Good And No Licks Is Founded What you Think Its The Problem?

The compressor is not turning due to the clutch is not engaged. The clutch is only engaged after a total check from the controller then a signal is generated to turn on the clutch. This is a series of sensor check to meet the requirement. It means you have to check: The refrigerant pressure switch check to make sure there is enogh coolant, The coolant sensor -if it signal too hot, clutch not engaged, The speed sensor from the back of compressor to compare the speed of of the camshaft to prevent the compressor looked up, The sensor at the evaporator, if it is bad, it senses too cold then the clutch will not engage, The sensor near the reading lights to check cabin temperature... All these make the AC repair for this car is expensive, and not any one can fix the AC in this kind of car. Don't try to find any local repairman to attempt the fix, since it ends up costing you more than what it needs to be. Good luck.

Locate wires coming from compressor clutch and trace to nearest plug that you can unplug. Turn on A/C to max cooling. If clutch not engaged (center of compressor drive pulley not spinning with pulley), unplug compressor clutch wires and use multimeter to check voltage going to compressor clutch. If voltage is around 12 volts or more, then clutch should be engaged when plugged in. Plug clutch wires back in (with motor still running and ac set to max). If clutch still not engaged, then clutch definitely bad because 12V signal should engage it.

After i put the ac on my bmw x5 2003 get over heat and smell burn

pls. check your ac compressor magnetic clutch attached in front of ur compressor if its working/ ac clutch engage when u turn the ac switch on and disengage when u turn the ac switch off/ it normally makes a clacking sound when it engage with the rotation of ur compressor/ if its not engaging it means ur magnetic clutch is stuck up giving excessive load to ur engine thats why it overheats/ it smell burnt because its magnetic coil is fried/ or check cooling system of ur car might be that coolant is empty/ fan is not working/ radiator is clogged or thermostatic valve is stuck blocking coolant flow....

1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder A/C Only Blows Hot Air

I would take it back to whoever replaced the module however, if you want to check for the problem yourself, Look for the AC compressor. with the AC turned off have someone start the vehicle, while watching the AC compressor have the person in the vehicle turn the AC on. If the clutch engages then you have lost your freon charge and need to have the AC unit serviced. If it does not start turn the engine off and check all the wiring connections going to the AC compressor. If all the connections are good start the vehicle, and have the person in the vehicle turn the control to cold and turn on the defroster. If the AC clutch engages then you have a bad ECM module or mis-programmed ECM take it back to be Properly programmed and repaired. If the clutch does not engage it is possible the AC compressor is bad. Take the vehicle to the Mechanic to have teh AC system checked to see why it is not engaging.
