Question about 1989 Ford Bronco
Most have a diagram in the engine compartment on the front by the latch. if not draw a diagram of how it is routed. Removal is done by releasing the tensioner on the passenger side next to the alternator. route new one leaving going under the tensioner the last part, then lift tensioner and route under it.

No - your belt cannot be replaced without taking the fan off. More than likely, you also have multiple belts. You will have a 1/2 inch spot on most of the plates to tighten each individual component. Look for a place to attach a 1/2 inch breaker bar/ratchet next to the alternator, steering pump, smug pump, etc. These should all be v-belts on a 1984, not a true serpentine.
