Frost plugs are located in the block and the heads at both ends and along the side on the block, they can involve a lot of disassembly to replace, like removal of manifolds or transmission, not much fun

Where are the freeze plugs located on a 2000 Plymouth breeze

Two on each side of the engine. Two in between the engine and transmission. The others are in the head. Front and back. these leak to muck oil to be freeze plugs. Unless you ran threw winter with no antifreeze. Where is the leak coming from? front or back?

Where is freeze plug location in acura tl 2000 3.2 vortec

This motor does not have freeze plugs. However there is a tube with an o ring that runs under the intake manifold that can leak and run betweem the block amd transmission.also check that the manifold between the heads or one of the hoses under the throttle body is not leaking and running down the back of the block.

Where are the freeze plugs located on a 2001 Dodge Intrepid 2.7

There are several freeze plugs but should only be 2 where the transmission and engine bolt up together. You will have to remove the transmission (transaxle) to replace them. To make 100% sure those are the only thing leaking coolant you may want to invest in a coolant pressure pump tool. They really aren't all tht expensive and will pump the coolant system up to normal operating pressures without having to crank the engine and getting it hot. After you pump the tool up just get a light and look for leaks. Also when it comes to freeze plugs. There is kinda of a unwritten rule (change one, change them all). Because freeze plugs are very inexpensive, but the labor is gonna be high usually. And while a technician is already removing this an that to change one. It will save you on labor in the long run. I promise. Because something caused that one to leak probably won't be long before the others start leaking as well. And you'd have to start over. Hope this helps.

Your problem is the freeze plug located between the rear of the motor and the flywheel and you need to remove the transmission to replace the freeze plug to fix your problem. Good Luck ! Michael...

95 camaro 3.4L is leaking water behind the motor in between the transmission & the oil pan. what can it be?

Water leaking from between the engine and transmission can only come from one place...there are two welch plugs (freeze plugs), located on either side of the rear cam plug. They rust out and leak. Your transmission needs to be removed to get to them. Sealers will not seal either.
Though they last a pretty long time, I always replace them with brass/bronze ones made for marine engines. Those will outlast the engine!!!
Make absolutely that nothing above the bellhousing is leaking before you do the job....it's too much work to do for no reason!!!

Where are the freeze plugs located on a 1995 dakota 5.2L?

There are several. They are located on both sides of the engine block, on the rear of the engine block between the engine and transmission, and also in the cylinder heads. They are pretty obvious if you know what you are looking for. It usually requires a special driver set to install them while the engine is in the vehicle. If the rear ones are leaking, the transmission must be removed. Freeze plugs leak because of corrosion. If one is leaking, you can bet that the others are going to start leaking before long. I usually recommend replacing all of them. Although this can be rather expensive, it is a lot better than buying an engine because it has been destroyed by overheating.
