The fuel level sensor is on the recall list for your truck. Take it straight to the dealership and let them fix it.

1999 S10 Gas gauge bounces from empty to full, nothing between

This problem is caused by the fuel level sensor inside the gas tank, you will need to drop the fuel tank out or remove the pickup bed to access the level sensor which is part of the fuel pump module on most GM products. The part is about $200.00 and 3 hours to install. See picture below. You can buy the part at a very good price from the on line company I use for parts

What does Fuel Level Sensor A Circut High Input for a 2004 GMC Envoy

The fuel level sensor is in the gas tank, and if it needs to be replaced, the tank must be removed from the truck.
Does your gas gauge work correctly? If not, there could be a bad connection at the tank/sensor or the sensor itself is defective.

My gas hand and the temperature hand has stop working and I would liketo know what caused it and how can it be fixed?

most fuel gage problems are usually a bad fuel level sensor in the fuel tank. the fuel level sensor is mounted to the side of the fuel pump assembly. this requires the fuel tank to be removed form the vehicle to replace the fuel level sensor

My gas gage does not work. After I fill up with gas...withing 20-30 minutes it goes all the way down to empty. Should this be fixed or would it be too expensive to fix. The car is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am...

Either your gauge is bad or the fuel level sender is. Most likely it's the sender in the gas tank. To replace it you would have to drain the fuel tank and pull the fuel pump/sender assembly and replace. You cannot just replace the fuel level sender with this car, the entire assembly must be changed out.

How do i replace the fuel level sensor on a 2005 chevy silverado .the fuel gauge shows empty, even when the tank was just filled ,i was told that this sensor is inside the fuel tank

It is in the tank and the tank has to be removed to do this. You want the gas empty as possible and then remove the fuel filler hose and the retaining straps from the tank. It will drop down after the straps are off. Then disconnect the electrical and fuel line connections. Take the retaining ring off of the sending unit and pull it straight up out of the tank. Install the new one and reinstall the tank in reverse from removal.

2001 Chevy Impala gas guage incorrect

The level sensor is bad. They are easy to do. You don't have to pull the fuel tank down. There is an acsess hole in the trunk. Look in the rear of the trunk at the rear of the seats. You will notice there is a spot in the middle that the capet comes together, Pull them apart and there is metal plate with some 10mm nuts, pull that off and your fuel pump is there, remove and replace the sensor.
Also there will the a code in the pcm. you will need to clear it to pass emissions

2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer 6cyl 4wd gas gage malfunction

It sounds like you have a fuel level sensor problem. The fuel level sensor attaches to the fuel pump inside the gas tank. The tank will have to be removed for access. The fuel pump assembly comes out of the top of the tank, and the sensor can be then be replaced. Removing the fuel tank is the major expense. The sensor runs around $120.00.
