Check your a/c freon pressure, sound like its low, when recharging have them check for leaks freon don't wast has to have a leak, the reason the a/c compr. cut off is because it has a low pressure switch, so when low on freon it will cut compr. off, so it don't damage it.

Engine quits when ac turned on compressor unplugged

Knowing make model and year would help. Most newer vehicles, 2000 and newer, will adjust the idle control up to compensate for the compressor engaging. Possible there is an issue in the idle air control valve or electrical circuit.

AC Clutch noise and vibration

An A/C clutch will not make this concern happen, more likely the A/C compressor is begining to go out. The belt on the A/C clutch Assy. free wheels (spins feree on the pulley) when clutch is not engaged. If concern is not present with A/C off this means the bearings in the puley assy. ok. Once the A/C clutch is engaged it locks the compressor against the spinning pulley and turn the compressor chaft and spins the A/C compressor internal shaft. If you hear a loud "screach" when you turn on the A/C it means the belt slipped for a second, if it continiues to screach it means either the belt is loose or that the compressor is internaly locking up. I wouild start by checking the belt tension (if not equipted with and auto tensioner). You can also remove the belt and turn on the A/C and attempt to turn the clutch/pulley by hand, it should turn with a little effect but should not bind or lock at times if that happens compressor is bad.

2001gti vr6 ac not working. Blowing hot air. Is it posible bad module?

First check the ac fuse, if it is ok check to see if the clutch is turning when the ac switch is turned on. If clutch does not engage you should check the ac relay. It is usually located in the fuse box. You can switch places with it and another relay with the same number in the box. If compressor still doesn't run it may need to be charged with R134. If compressor runs for a few seconds and shuts off and continues doing this with control on high. It nees more refrigerant added.

Ac isnt cold at all. what do i do?

Is the compressor running - (when the car is idling, and you turn the AC on - does the engine idle a little slower - wait a few seconds - then turn AC off - does engine speed up a little?)

If you Compressor isn't engaging - then it may be electrical or the compressor.

If it is working - then you probably have a leak. You can google this subject or go to Autozone and buy a kit for $20. Some have leak stop additives but it is kind of a band aid approach. Sut since your car isn't that old, unless it has high mileage you may want to have a pro do it.

Whine when air conditioner compressor engaged at lower speeds

If it is coming from under the hood(whine)then the ac compressor is either low on oil,or it is about to go out.Sometimes ac compressors will last a good long time, but sometimes they whine right before they lock up.So look for some ac compressor problems.Have a mechanic check it out,but it will most likely need to be changed out(compressor and components).
