Question about 2006 Ford F-150

My 2002 ford exployer alarm will engage when parked and locked. Also whendriving the dome will binked door locks will lock and unlock and an interior beeping will go on and off. Please advise of problem.

    WHEN DRIVING MY 2002 EXPLOYER, THE DOOR LOCKS, WILL CLICK ON AND OFF, DOME LIGHT WILL BINK, DOODR AJAR IDICATOR LIGHT GO ON AND OFF, INTERIOR BEEPING ALARM GOES ON AND OFF. ALSO, WHEN CAR IS PARKED THE ALARM WILL GO ON AND OFF AT RANDOM TIME. I disengage by using the the key transmiter and it will go on again for several more times. Please advise

I would say from the list of problems, you are having an issue with the door latch / door ajar switch.
Prior to tracing anything, spray the door latches with WD-40, open and close them a few times, and spray again. Might take 2 or 3 cycles, but worth a try. This is some what common on the F-150 line, with the same symptom list.

Sound like a necessary re-programming theft module or lock doors module; recently unplugged (disconected) the battery or any short there?

    If the OEM alarm is malfunctioning now, (car horn blarring and head
    lights flashing) odds are, it will again. Get out some basic install
    tools or get a friend or a good technician in there to do this.
    Normally, you would insert the key in the drivers door, turn left, then
    right to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning, you can
    disable it for good by doing the following:

    The FACTORY ALARM
    DISARM WIRE IS dk. green/purple |- | in the drivers door harness. |-
    negative polarity|. Once Located, splice into this wire with a simular
    gauge wire, and put it to a solid chassis ground. This terminates the
    OEM alarm functions entirely. However, at this point, this car would be
    exceedingly easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket alarm
    system to protect it from here on in.

    If you have already have
    an after market alarm however:

    (SIREN & FLASHING PARKING
    LIGHTS= AFTER MARKET or is it: CAR HORN & FLASHING HEADLIGHTS=
    OEM-FACTORY) Then look for the over ride/valet button under the dash
    area, probably to the left leg region, drilled into the plastic kick
    panel. Then it's: KEY ON, PRESS AND HOLD IN BUTTON FIRMLY UNTIL THE
    SIREN CHIRPS ONCE, AND THE PARKING LIGHTS FLASH. THEN KEY OFF. This is
    over ride, and the car should start. The only thing that would work
    would be keyless entry if it is installed. The alarm functions have been
    suspended.

Your door locks are controlled by a control module . GEM - generic electronic module . Watch this video ! Door Locks Go Crazy 1 You possibly have a bad door switch .

2002 chevy Blazer 2 door. Power locks,and liftgate stop working.The locks will engage when I shift to drive and will disengage when placed in park. Where do I start?

Plz explain...are the locks supposed to lock/unlock when you put the car in Drive/Park, or not?

Does the lock/unlock SWITCH on the DRIVER'S door work/not work? If applicable, does the PASSENGER's door lock switch work?

I asked a frend about your problem and he said there isnt one, he said when you use the clicker, your moveing away from the car, so you get an audable sound to let you now it's working, when you use the key your at the car and you now whats happening.

*1 The drivers door module is located in the drivers door.
*2 A double pulse will unlock all doors and disarm the factory alarm.
*3 The passengers door module is located in the passengers door.
*4 This wire will read the dome light delay. The avoid the dome light delay, use the separate door trigger wires and diode isolate each one. They are brown/white and are all located in their own door at their own door module.
*5 The comfort module is the main control module located under the drivers side of the dash.

Alarm keeps going off about 15 mins after doors are locked.the car is a w reg ford mondeo.the car has to lie overnight with its doors unlocked.


Sounds like interior sensor,untill you get it sorted lock car with key not remote .It won,t be alarmed but it will be locked.
Go to your local auto elec to diagnose fault.

had very similar problems with a Hyundai coupe , turned out to be the central locking control mechanism , this is usually the drivers door lock unit inside drivers door , this controls the locking system and so also interior lights as if having used remote etc,hope this helps
