Connect 1 wire ground wire to the car. Unclip the head light jack. Turn head lamps on and touch the pos wire to each of the points on the connector one an a time until it lights.. Splice that wire and connet the positive there.. Use the car body or a bolt from it as the ground..

The gauges must be hooked up to the car's original gauge dimmer supply only.
get a 12 volt testlight turn on the gauges in the car,(so that you can see then glow) clip the alligator clip from the testlight on the ignition key while the key in in the ignition lock (good ground) then: while brightining and, dimming the gauge lights use the icepick screwdriver end to poke through the insulation on the headlight/ gauge dimmer switch wires to find the right one: when you have the right wire the test light will dim and, brighten together with the car's original gauges. connect the positive (power) new gauge glow wire here the other glo gauge wire (negative) can just be screwed to any grounded metal in your car.

Thanks for the information. I would suggest the best way to connect the lights would be to connect to the parking lights. I will give you directions for a "clean" installation. Near the fuse box there will be a white plug with green/yellow wire and a green/white wire. These two wires are for your parking lights left and right respectively. Once you have the product installed you can run the wires under the dash. The black wire is ground. Find a good screw to connect the ground. The red can go connected to one of the two wires on the white plug mentioned above. The reason for the parking lights is that you can have the lights work without turning on the headlights. Good Luck.

The information I gave will also work. I just thought that you would like to have the gauges work with the parking lights so that you can have them turn on without turning on the headlights. What you are asking, you will have to have the headlights on in order for the new gauge lights to work. The wiring you are looking for will be in the same area as before (near fuse block with parking lights) except for the colors are red/yellow (leftt side headlight) and pink (rightside headlight). Good Luck.

Starter spins correctly when I hook pos to neg and neg to pos

Sounds like someone has changed the starter recently and they have the negative cable from the battery hooked up to the starter solenoid. You need to have the positive cable hooked to the starter solenoid not the negative cable.

My 77 Chevy c30 has no power. Jumped started it and drove it home. I turned it off then tried to restart it. No power no lights. nothing. Battery is good. An u help will be appreciated.

If the battery is good you will need to follow flow. Test light is the easiest to use. First hook light to ground and touch pos terminal, lights good next touch pos battery cable end, lights good. Next follow pos cable to starter pos terminal, lights good. Next hook test light to bat pos teminal, touch neg terminal, lights good. Then touch engine block, lights good ground. Next move test light clamp back to ground/neg side and touch alt pos terminal, lights good.if all that tests good, if all good move inside and check for power at ign switch pos term if at any time you dont find power you have wiring issue that needs to be addressed. Let me know what you find. Russ

How do I hook up this unit Two wires or four

Almost all car batteries have 2 pos and 2 neg. More precisely, 1 pos post and 1 side connector, 1 neg post and 1 neg side connector. You only usually use use one set or the other depending on what connectors are on the end of your cables. You can connect something else to the side posts if you need to, but generally only pair is used.

This would appear to be the start of GLOW PLUG failure. Raise the hood and Swich On the Ignition.
With a volt meter,... test the supply voltage on the Glow Plug supply terminal connection. If this is GOOD, Switch Off the ignition and remove the Key.
Remove the Glow Plugs with a Long shank socket.
Make up a length of 14/16 gauge wire, stripped about 1 inch from each end. Attach 1 end to the Battery Pos.+ Terminal, and holding the other end, take each Glow Plug in turn, and hold the PLUG BODY onto the Neg.- Terminal, and TOUCH and HOLD the wire to the Plug TERMINAL CONTACT. If the Plug is GOOD it will SMOKE and GET HOT. If more than 2 Plugs do not react then JUNK them ALL, and replace them. If only 1, then just replace it solely. Make sure on re-installation, that the PLUG, is FIRM and SNUG in the receiver. Disconnect your Supply from the Battery, and attempt Start Up procedure.
Let me know how you get along.
