Back to basics, does the engine turn over, if so check spark(in line tester works best) fuel pressure(with a guage) injector signal(noid light), then go on to compression,

2007 Chevy Avalanche 3rd and 4th gear are not working

From what you are describing, it is possible either the 3-4 actuator is no longer playing with the 3rd & 4th clutch packs, only way to know for certain is to hook up the good ol' pressure gauge to trans. system, yeah, you think the Chevrolet dealer should know this right?

Sell it now if you can!

Adjust clutch

IT will not be adjustment but air in the clutch system. Bleed the system and check for leaks at the clutch slave cylinder. Check to see if there is fluid in the clutch master cyl reservoir.

I have a 2001 ford escape 2.0 L 4 Cyl with 5 speed Manual Transmission. Recently had the clutch replaced with in a week the speedometer would be eratic but not all the time then after about a month on...

Definitely not an expert here, but exactly the same symptoms after a clutch replacement. I found one of the wires going to the connector on the harness side of the Vehicle Speed Sensor pulled in two. Can only surmise that during the clutch installation this connector wasn't disconnected and during movement of the transmission to get to the clutch was put under tension causing the failure. I haven't confirmed the solution yet, but pretty sure I'm on the right track.

1991 Chevy C1500, 4.3L V-6, 5-speed tranny. Is there adjustment to reduce clutch pedal play? I just replaced the clutch master and slave cylinders but still have excessive play. Repair manuals I have do...

If you have already gotten all the air out of the system, you may have to remove the clutch assembly and check the finger height compared with the one you removed as some designs are lower or higher than the original. You can either try to find one that matches the old one or change the throwout bearing (they come in several heights)...In your case I'd use a longer one.
The transmission has nothing to do with clutch release height and the only part it plays in clutch operation is that the neck on the front cover acts as a guide to stabilize the throwout bearing. (always make sure there is a light coating of grease on it so the bearing does not seize on there when in use.)

I have a 1999 5-speed manual transmission Chevy Cavailar and I am having problems putting the car into gears. There is a grinding noice when i shift the car into all gears, especially reverse. There seems...

I am guessing from your explanation that your clutch is gone. Do not drive it if it is grinding as you say - this will destroy your gears and require a transmission as well as a clutch. Call your chevy dealer for an estimate - they have books with estimated time requirements to do jobs such as this and pricing. You may be able to get pricing for parts from your local auto supply store as well. Quite often generic parts are cheaper than OEM parts.

Jetta 2003 6 speed manual transmission problems

There is small chance you problem is with the slave cylinder, or the clutch master cylinder.
Check the brake fluid under the hood in the clutch master cylinder. If it is gone, or low, you may be leaking brake fluid either from the slave cylinder on the transmission, or the fluid could be bypassing the rubber seals inside the master cylinder.
I hope this is what is wrong, as it is much less expensive than having the transmission repaired.
God bless your efforts.

Manual transmission at times has trouble shifting

2003 hyundai, should only have hyundai approved fluids in both the cooling system and transmission. If you take your vehicle to a transmission shop other that hyundai let them now there is a special fluid that goes back into the either radiator or transmission. Regular transmission fluids viscosity is to thick and will make shifting very hard. My Mazda has the same issues Wrong fluids go back into the transmission when I have had work done to it making the shifter hard to shift in cold weather. A Worn clutch can have the same effect.
