Either the crank position sensor or something else but you will need to do some tests and post the results so myself or another mechanic can give you the diagnosis ,like when it stops is it still sparking?? are the plugs wet when it stops ?? is their fuel pressure when it stops ,is it throwing out black smoke ??

Yes it still sparks ,the plugs are normal, yes it has fuel pressre when it stops , yes it is puting out black smoke, and it is hot it even cout grass on fire it back fires and shakes really bad t 3000 rpms when t finly starts and then it dies again let it set until it s cold it will run like new until it gets warm

right the auto choke is staying on which means its running rich ,now i can tell you wahts wrong and i think you will need a new sensor on or around the cylinder head area but i cannot tell you where it is in all honesty because i am in spain and i have never seen one of these cars except on the TV .hence it starts when cold but once engine warms up it willl will splutter and then choke itself up .Quick fix is to buy the sensor then with it in your hand look for that component on the engine and then change it .

it just dies no splutter, this car is fuel injection, no choke.
But I think you are right about the crankshaft position sensor, I will let you know I’m going to get one tomorrow

it might not have a manual choke that you can see but it does have a autochoke thats controlled by the ECU

Where is the Power steering reservoir for a 99' Buick Park Ave.

You will need a flashlight; it will be very helpful. Standing on the passenger side of the vehicle, shine the flashlight down behind the engine approximately in the corner behind the pulleys but a little more closer to the firewall and look straight down. The power steering reservoir sits like one to two feet below where you probably expect to see it; they seem to have hidden it very well . I have a 98 and a 99 Park Ave and it took me forever to find it.

Car began shaking and running badly. Seems like timing

Just started doing it? Had a similar problem with a 90 park ave., When I took the upper timing chain cover off the plastic gears on the cam sprocket had all stripped off. BIG problem. Also my cam was seized. that one went to the salvagers.
